In 2026 bestaat de Tweede Nederlandse Organisatie van Tankhobbyisten (TWENOT) precies 50 jaar. Een mijlpaal die we niet ongemerkt voorbij laten gaan. Op zaterdag 13 juni 2026 vieren we dit jubileum met een groots en veelzijdig evenement in en rond het Oorlogsmuseum Overloon.

In 2026, the Dutch Armour Association (TWENOT) was founded exactly 50 years ago. A milestone that we don’t want to pass silently. On Saturday, 13 June 2026, we will celebrate this anniversary with a grand and multi-faceted event in and around the Overloon War Museum.

Een unieke dag op een unieke locatie, waar modelbouw, militaire historie, ontmoeting en beleving samenkomen.

Het jubileumprogramma is breed en gevarieerd. Gedurende de dag is er in het museum en op het terrein van alles te zien en te doen, waaronder:

The anniversary programme is broad and varied. There will be all kinds of things to see and do in and around the museum on the day, including:

• Handel in militaria, modelbouw en aanverwante producten;
• Plaktafels voor TWENOT‑leden en externe modelbouwclubs;
• Een modelbouwwedstrijd met inzendingen uit diverse categorieën;
• Historische displays en presentaties;
• Living History met een Medic display met inhoudelijke toelichting;
• Een speciale veteranenhoek;
• Workshops van topmodelbouwers;
• Aandacht voor de oprichters en de geschiedenis van de TWENOT.

• Trade in militaria, modelling and related products.
• Club tables for TWENOT members and external modelling societies.
• A model contest with entries in a number of categories.
• Historical displays and presentations.
• Living History with a Medic display, with explanations.
• A special veterans’ corner.
• Workshops by renowned modellers.
• Special attention for the founders and history of the Dutch Armour Association.

Daarnaast is er volop ruimte om andere liefhebbers te ontmoeten, ervaringen uit te wisselen en samen stil te staan bij 50 jaar tankhobby in Nederland.

In addition, there will be plenty of room to meet other enthousiasts, exchange experiences and celebrate 50 years of tank hobby in the Netherlands.

Een feest midden in de geschiedenis​

A Celebration in the Midst of History

Het Oorlogsmuseum Overloon (adres: Museumpark 1, 5825 AM Overloon) vormt het decor van dit jubileum. Het museum is deze dag regulier geopend voor bezoekers en biedt een indrukwekkende collectie voertuigen, verhalen en tentoonstellingen. Tijdens het evenement is er een infostand waar bezoekers kunnen kennismaken met de TWENOT en haar activiteiten.

The Overloon War Museum (address: 1 Museumpark, 5825 AM Overloon) forms the backdrop for this anniversary. The museum will be open to the general public as well and has an impressive collection of vehicles, stories and expositions. During the event, there will be an information booth where visitors can become acquainted with the Dutch Armour Association and its activities.

Dankzij de verschillende zalen en ruimtes in het museum vindt het programma letterlijk plaats tussen de historische objecten, wat deze dag extra bijzonder maakt.

Because of the different halls and rooms of the museum, the event will literally take place amongst historical artifacts, which will make the day extra special.

Entry

TWENOT‑leden hebben gratis toegang op vertoon van hun ledenpas. Voor overige bezoekers gelden de reguliere museumtarieven (onder voorbehoud).

Members of the Dutch Armour Association can enter the museum for free on this day on display of their membership card. Other visitors must pay the normal entry fee.

Na sluiting van het museum is er voor aangemelde TWENOT‑leden een gezamenlijk diner.

After the museum closes, a diner will be held for those Dutch Armour Association members who have signed up for this.
